About Sky Rockenbach

8 Years Experience Tattooing

Sky Apprenticed in Bellingham, WA. with her mentor for five years in a private studio specializing in large custom designs. Her next job was in Austin, TX. at True Blue Tattoo, where she worked for two and a half years refining her craft at a busy walk-in street shop. She now runs her private studio in Hutto, TX. called Best Ink Cosmetics.

Certified Makeup Technician

Sky received her certification for permanent nano brows by Shareen Adair, the founder of Eye Candy and School of PMU. Her training covers over 100 hours of hands on experience.

Certified EMT

Sky became a first responder in 2020 getting her training as an EMT which gives her an added understanding of medical conditions and safety precautions. Every two years she has to recertify her federal credentials keeping her up to date with her training.

Classically Trained Oil Painter

Sky started her training in high school by attending a private school called Idyllwild Arts Academy specializing in the Fine Arts department. She later attending Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design receiving a BFA. Beyond tattooing she has continued her work as a painter, specializing in large scale oil paintings.

I showed sky a few designs/inspirations of what I was aiming for as this was a memorial tattoo for my beloved childhood pet that had passed away. Stellar experience getting tattooed by Sky last week. She created a custom bird design for me on the spot while I grabbed lunch. I asked for a lot - to match the style of a former tattoo motif I have, to work in a narrow place on my arm, and to create movement. Sky delivered. I love how the design, shading, and placement turned out! Sky has a relaxed demeanor and makes easy conversation, although she seemed just as content to get into the flow of the work and be quiet, too - if that’s your thing. 10/10 recommend
