Blackwork means that all ink in the skin is full saturation black, with no grey wash. To achieve different values using only black ink, you can use styles like stipple-work or whip shading. This makes for bold and lasting tattoos.
When booking a Blackwork tattoo, the most important factors are design size and how prepared your idea is.
Here’s how to decide what to book:
- Palm-size or smaller – Book a Small Tattoo Appointment.
Great for simple symbols, small patterns, or pre-made flash. Be sure to bring a reference or exact design idea if you’re skipping a consultation. - Larger designs (above palm-size) – Book a Large Tattoo Appointment.
Best for medium-sized Blackwork with more detail or heavy fills. Just like above, come with a reference or a clear idea I can build from. If you don’t have that, please start with a consultation. - Custom or complex projects – Book a consultation.

Sky’s studio is located within the Salon Lofts (Suite 160) business building, specifically in Loft 2. Upon entering the front doors, simply head to your left — Sky’s studio will be the second door on the left. This private and intimate space is ideal for an artist who works independently and by appointment only. To maintain a peaceful, focused atmosphere, the studio has a limited capacity, and it is kindly requested that no more than two clients be present at any given time.
